Addiction means destruction Addiction-Mukti Abhiyan

You know that today in society, in villages or cities, addiction to intoxicants, alcohol, narcotics, tobacco, gutka, spices, bidis etc. has increased to a great extent. From small children to working women and sisters, all are trapped in this addiction. Consuming these things affects both their bodies and finances, and they do not realize it. This addiction is killing people and moreover they are addicted to these things to an extent that they cannot live without it. This addiction comes from seeing one another, whether it’s in friends or families. In addition, in villages, where the normal population lives, this addiction would cost approximately one lakh rupees per day. Think about it.

To remove this evil from the society and village, the gentlemen will have to think like a responsible citizen and make efforts. The government knows the evil of these addictions but does not really try anything to eliminate it from society. In this regard, I have also written a letter to Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani dated 21-9-2020.

Addiction may be a chapter, but it doesn’t have to be the story

Whoever consumes intoxicants is commiting a sin, says.
-Lord Buddha

Even a small addiction is poison. Giving money to put poison in the stomach is not the beauty of a true gentleman.
-P.Pramukh Swami Maharaj.

Addiction means waste of life. The wealth of an addict is wasted on addictions and medicines.
– P. Pramukh Swami Maharaj.

If you want to be happy and live peacefully, you should avoid the expenses of addictions and pleasures.
– P. Ravi Shankar Maharaj.

Farming for the Future

Keeping tobacco leaves, betel nuts, mawa, and spices in the mouth makes the mouth feel cold. The juice of tobacco, mawa, spices goes into the mouth and that juice damages the lungs, throat, skin, trachea and esophagus.

If the daily expenditure on addiction is Rs. 25/-, then it becomes Rs. 750/- per month and Rs. 9000/- per year, thus it is wasting money and body both.

Wasting money and also wasting the body.

Although addiction provides the addict with short-term pleasure, it ultimately results in a lifetime of punishment.

Give up addictions. Early addiction cessation will save one’s health, win one’s affection from family and friends, and enhance one’s ability to serve the public.
